We back founders the rest of the map overlooks.
Caucasus Ventures is a $6.6M early-stage fund investing in post-MVP technology teams across the Caucasus, Türkiye, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Our story
Built by people who operate in the region, not visitors to it.
The fund was formed to close a specific gap: strong technical teams in the region reach a working product, then stall for lack of a first institutional cheque and a route to customers beyond the home market. We wrote that first cheque 33 times.
Our thesis
Regional engineering talent, global markets.
Engineering depth in the region is not the constraint — distribution is. We look for teams whose product can be sold outside their home country from the first year, and we spend our time on the introductions that make that possible.
Our life cycle
A 5–7 year fund with room to follow on.
$50,000–$100,000 goes in first. Up to $200,000 follows as a company proves its next stage. We hold capital back deliberately so our best companies are not left raising from strangers.
How we work with founders.
Capital is the easy part. What compounds is the network our founders can reach on day one.
Mentorship
Experience from other industries
Operators and investors who have built in adjacent markets, sharing what already worked.
Connection
Introductions that open markets
Access to local and regional buyers through a partner network built over years, not weeks.
Networking
Synergy across the portfolio
Founders who sell to, hire from and learn from each other — the fund is the connective tissue.
Partners
The institutions behind the fund — and the doors they open for our portfolio companies across the region.
